Update: Top Pot co-founder and Ballard resident Mark Klebeck says he hopes to see the space open by June 1, which, coincidentally, is National Doughnut Day. He says the new store will have about 40 doughnut varieties and fresh coffee, and is happy to be setting up shop in an area he calls, “up and coming.” With so many coffee options on NW Market St and Ballard Ave, he thinks the Ballard Blocks storefront will help the store stand out.
Earlier: The Ballard Blocks are getting a “sweet” new tenant: Top Pot Doughnuts is coming to the neighborhood in June. Located right next door to Trader Joe’s, Top Pot is on the corner of 14 Ave NW and NW Ballard Way.
Top Pot started back in 2002 with a small storefront on Capitol Hill. The doughnut shop now has shops all over the city, and Ballard will be their ninth location.
