The much anticipated opening of Ballard’s newest bistro Brimmer & Heeltap (425 NW Market St) is finally here. The bistro officially opened yesterday and has already impressed many in our community.
Co-owners Jen Doak and Mike Whisenhunt (pictured right) are thrilled to present their “take on the neighborhood bistro-pub” to Ballard. We have covered the story since Doak and Whisenhunt closed the deal on the previous Le Gormand property back in July last year.
Brimmer & Heeltap’s bistro-pub menu features a fusion of international and local flavors. The menu is set to change quarterly and is divided into snacks, vegetables, seafood, meat entrees and desserts. Guests can select from a range of options including small bites and family-style platters. A late night menu will also be featured every night from 10 p.m. – close.
In terms of drinks, the Brimmer & Heeltap bar has everyone covered. The drinks offerings include urban libations and a unique mix of regional beer and wine. An expert mixologist is also on hand to drum up that special one of a kind drink.
