The Ballard girls basketball team won their first game of the 2017-2018 state tournament by beating Phoenix on Thursday. The game was close for a majority of the game, but the Ballard girls were able to pull out a win in the end. The team played with a lot of heart and determination, which is something that Coach Brown says is key to winning games at this level. This win gives the Ballard girls a lot of confidence going into the rest of their games.
