The food here leaves much to be desired, as does the type of person who frequents an establishment such as this. If you enjoy being around Ballard riff-raff or obnoxious softball teams, this is the place for you.
I have lived here all my life and love mikes chili parlor, I dont drink any more but i still have his chili every once in awhile. It is one of the last dives in ballard. Thanks for keeping it that way Phil.
I am here to give the Chili a thumbs up. Blue collar chili, not yuppie food. Tender tummies might have a problem with it. Definitely a funky atmosphere. If you are easily intimidated by working class people you may not like it. At least it is one Seattle icon that hasn't been demolished and turned into condos with a Subway and a Payday Loans at street level.
Greasy, disgusting chili.
Without a doubt the worst chili i’ve ever had. Overly greasy, no flavor, definitely NOT hearty. Just nasty. But as a whole, I do like Mike’s. Great little place to kickback with a nice cold beer, shoot some pool, watch a game with friends. The staff is always very friendly. So….go there to partake in everything, except the chili
