My Ballard readers have written us about this sign at 17th Ave. and 56th St.
The message from a “concerned citizen” warns about a rash of violent muggings in Ballard late at night. We called Seattle Police and spoke to public information officer Jeff Kappel to see if there’s a public safety issue, and he said he would check and get back to us. We’ll update when we learn more.
