This month’s issue of Seattle Magazine focuses on our favorite dinner course: dessert. From chocolates to cupcakes to cookies and more the issue has everyone’s sweet tooth in mind. A few of Ballard’s hotspots are listed. The new Honore’ Artisan Bakery on 70th wins the award for “Best texture in a cookie” with their macaroon. Cupcake Royale takes the cake for “Most Decadent Fusion of Chocolate and Coffee” with their Death Cake. The magazine describes the cupcake as an “intense cupcake-on-steroids made with Theo dark chocolate, and a combo of chocolate cake, espresso-infused ganache and flourless chocolate cake.” And the Russian Tea Cookie at Cafe’ Besalu wins for “Best Crumble.” Congratulations!
