Just before 4:30 this morning, a four-year-old girl was found lost and screaming along the 8000 block of 16th Ave NW. A homeowner brought the shoeless child into their house and called 911. Police soon arrived, and they drove around the neighborhood with their sirens blaring in an attempt to find the little girl’s parents, police spokesowoman Renee Witt said. My Ballard reader JK emailed to say he “was woken up this morning at 5 a.m.” by the police. A short time later, officers spotted a house along 17th Ave. NW with the front door wide open, Witt said. Police went inside and reunited the girl with her mother. Witt says that they believe the girl must have woken up and went for a stroll, and then got lost and scared. Fortunately, the girl was unharmed. (Thanks JK for the tip!)

I do meth because I disagree with you?
Rape? You exaggerated that one too. Big surprise.
Yet you have no proof that crime is up. You have no stats, just a series of reported incidents.
That's what I've been try
Whoops, accidentally hit post.
Anyway, that's what I've been trying to say. You have no concrete proof that we're in the midst of a crime wave.
Do you really think Seattle magazine had any crime statistics from this year when ranking neighborhoods? Please…
