Groundswell NW invites you to look at five proposals for a “landmark art piece” that will be installed at the Salmon Bay Natural Area.
The public is invited to provide feedback for the selection committee at an open house this Monday, 5:30 to 7 p.m. It will be held The Canal, on the south side of NW 54th just west of the Locks. More details on GroundswellNW.org.

i was eating some Paseo there friday and enjoyed the shytefaced drunks there pretending to 'read' the sign there.
Glad you enjoyed it, Bobcat. If you're a regular visitor and want to help keep it nice for all of us, contact us through http://www.groundswellnw.org.
gumba – we worked together on the ballard bowl project before it all went to hell. i still wish we could have turned that vagrant peehole under 15th on the north end of the ballard bridge into a park. creating public spaces namely skateparks provide skateboarders which in turn keep unwanted slimeballs out of the way.
Is that the restaurant? And where is the picture taken from? Near the restaurant??
The Canal is banquet/catering facility in the old Hiram's restaurant building. The photo is of a public gathering space and overlook at the west end of their parking lot.
my girlfriend was raised in the house that used to be standing down the hill. We went down there before it was razed, amazing how the place was built as her father made everything (decks, shed, house) with his two hands.
