The big neon “Archie McPhee” signs have officially left Ballard.
This photo was taken earlier this afternoon by the folks at the wacky shop. The signs made the long trip today to their new location in Wallingford. Don’t worry, although the signs are down, the Market St. location is still open. They’ll make the full switch to the 45th and Stone Way store sometime next month.

Sigh. The end of rubber chickens in Ballard.
Bummer! Good to see they're only moving and not going completely out of business.
One rubber chicken for sale, to the highest bidder ;-)
I'm very sad. I know they're not going far, but I really loved having them in my hood…
Lame. More room for sushi!
:(
Oh. So sad! Goodbye devil duckie!….A real loss to the neighborhood.
The Washington Mutual signs are also down at the formerly-WAMU now Chase branch.
does anyone know what they are putting there to replace it?
It's sad, and I wonder how long that space will sit empty. Probably until the real estate market recovers and it turns into something else.
I hope that sacred hallowed ground there curses the next yuppie condo project that goes up.
do you mind if I use it over at my blog that shows you how to buy cheap software?
