The bear that ran through Ballard was spotted on the track at Kellogg Middle School up in Shoreline early this morning. Somehow, the bear made it across I-5. We’ve updated our tracking map here. And wildlife officials have now given the bear a name: “Urban Phantom.”

“Urban Phantom?” Well, okay. It's a bit clunky, though, so I'm just going to call him “Phantom.”
There is a I-5 underpass on the NE corner of Twin Ponds Park.
The Phantom of the Underpass?
I refuse to call him Phantom, or Urban Phantom.
maybe if this bear starts shooting out windows with a slingshot, we could call him 'Phantom Menace.'
I hope the wildlife officials can find him before he is hurt or worse hunted, and taken to a more suitable habitat where he can roam freely.
We should call him Forest.
RUN FOREST, RUN!!
Hilarious. Thanks for the laugh. Gooooooo, bear!

That was pretty darn funny!
I *loved* the footage of the black bear raiding Subway's ingredient bins! Smart and gutsy!
Is there a Subway in Shoreline? Might wanna lock their doors…

I'm so glad someone posted this! I don't know which like is better. We're here we're queer we don't want anymore bears, or somebody think of the children!
So scary to roam around unless this Urban phantom get caught. Any update?
