Three Girls Bakery is getting close to opening for business.
We first reported that the popular bakery was moving into the old Ballard Pet Shop, but that space is being turned into a dentist office. Three Girls will be to the building just to the north at 6209 15th Ave NW, next to Ballard Barber Shop. We spoke with Ryan Gaylor of CW Construction this morning who tells us the bakery is pretty much ready to go, they’re just waiting on the final inspection. He says that if all goes well, the shop could be open by next week.

Woo hoo! They've been working long hours getting that storefront ready for something. Now I know what.
The pet store is a mighty big space for a dentist's office, though. Maybe more than one dentist?
What hours will they be open?
i was slightly worried about the bakery in that pet store. it was rank at least from the outside. i can only imagine the inside….yeah, no longer an issue.
They have been doing a lot of work on the old pet store, as well. They've spent a couple weeks just on the roof. This dentist wants to have a clean shop.
keeps it handy, a trip to get sweets at the bakery and then the dentist right next (practically) door!
I'm not so sure we need yet another dentist in Ballard, especially in this area where there are already at least five…
Nothing makes my mouth water like the Three Girls Bakery at the Pike Place Market. We used to go there was I was a small child and I remember the sesame crusted egg bread tied up in knots. I remember being gifted with an animal cookie. I remember my mother telling me that she had gone there when she was a small girl in the 1930's and how she was treated to a cookie when she was too shy to ask for one. Now the crush of the tourist traffic makes it hard to think let alone enjoy the old treasures.
When my son told me that the Three Girls was coming to Ballard, I couldn't stop smiling.
