Tuesdays in Ballard, a big campaign to get people to shop in Ballard, officially kicks off today. 71 businesses have signed up for the summer-long campaign. Each Tuesday businesses will be doing fun things at their shops. If you mention “Tuesdays in Ballard” at Ballard Brothers Seafood today you’ll get $2 off all items. They’ll also have live music and a magician this evening. K.C. the Klown will be making colorful balloon creatures for kiddies from 10 a.m. to 9p.m. at Mon Petit Shoe. Romanza will have DJ Disco Vinnie spinning the disco hits from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and every customer that spends 5 dollars or more gets to spin the prize wheel “The Wheel Of Mystery” for a chance for up to 50% off anything in the shop. KAVU will stay open till 9 p.m. serving iced tea, along with a flavorful special: Buy 3 or more items & receive 30% off your entire purchase. Here’s a link to what participating businesses are doing this week. (Ballard Brothers and Romanza are sponsors of MyBallard.)

Shop at Olsen's.
There's also trivia tonight (and every Tuesday) at the Old Pequiliar. $5 entry for 5 or less players, $7 for 6 players. Starts at 8, usually lasts till 10:15ish. Lots of fun. Get there early if you want a table.
Seriously! Wish we could turn this closing around. :(
This is such a fantastic idea. It'll be a better idea next Tuesday, when I'll have more spending cash. ;-)
I really hope it gets a huge turnout on this first Tuesday!
This sounded so cheesy when I first read about it, but it actually looks like there's some cool business specials. I second the “shop at Olsens” idea!
Hey, on a side note, Three Girl's Bakery has the signage up now. They might be open this week after all.
So, who is behind this? The Chamber? My Ballard folks??
Great idea!!
A small group of businesses that recently formed a non-profit Merchants Association put the campaign together.

I just came across the best little salon Ive ever been to. HAVEN…………Thank you to Tuesdays in Ballard, I would never have found it without seeing it on your flyers.
Not only did I get the best haircut and color of my life, but the customer service was out of this world. I felt so welcomed and so educated on my hair cut and hair care needs.
Crysdian worked wonders with my horribly over highlighted hair. Now if feels like silk and looks so pretty……
The garden joined to the salon is outstanding and beautiful.
I feel like a new woman…..
Thank you thank you thank you Crysdian and everyone at HAVEN, I am a client for life. And I didnt have to spend my life savings……
