The convenience store employee who was killed yesterday at the 76 gas station on 15th Ave. has been identified by family members.
The Seattle Times is reporting that the victim is 28 year-old Manish Melwani of Lynnwood. “This was my brother-in-law that was killed so violently,” said Komal Herkishnani. “Our family is forever broken now. Please, if anyone has any information, please call 911.” Neighbors say Manish was nice to everyone. “He was an amazing human,” said a My Ballard reader. “He brought a smile to our faces every night we stopped in. We are torn to pieces over this.”

My heart goes out to the family. Loss of a family member is bad enough, but this is just the worst.
Hopefully the killer will be found soon and suffer a long sentence and the victim's family can gain at least a little peace.
Wow, I'm speachless.
God. He was so young.
There had to have been witnesses. Please come forward and do the right thing.
Hard working immigrant comes to this country only to get gunned own by some lazy POS who doesn't know the value of an honest days work.
All my sympathies to the family.
My thoughts are with the family as well. So sad, and such a waste.
I saw him almost every day; he was kind, friendly, and very open. I enjoyed talking with him. I miss him.
I cant figure out who this is. I know the guy with the heavy accent that pulled the night shift but he seemed older than 28. There was the young guy that worked in the day that always had his dad hanging around in there but he hasn't been around since the new owners. Any help ?
