Two Ballard businesses will be moving into the Kolstrand Building next year.
Dutch Bike Co. and Turnstyle are the first two businesses to sign on as tenants of the nearly 100-year-old. The bike shop, which is currently at 4421 Shilshole Ave NW, will take up 1,500 square feet of the ground floor retail space and the graphic designers will move from 2219 NW Market to a 6,000 square foot office space in the refurbished building. The makeover on the building will include both restaurant and retail space as well as office and live/work lofts. Construction is expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year.

Oh, good. I was wondering what was happening with that building.
Took the tour(snacks provided!) earlier this year…neat old building…glad its not going anywhere
I am very happy to see Dutch Bike move into the new location! Love them…
That's awesome. Both are fantastic companies!
Dutch Bike!!!!!! That is exciting!!! The BG Trail will be moving out several long standing large companies; it is comforting to know that the tax and economic base is being replaced by such businesses!!!!
Just chiming in to agree that the Dutch Bike folks are very helpful and nice (even though I'm riding a different style of bike).
That's great. I will definitely be going there. Unless you're buying a bike, the BikeSport guys have not been very helpful to me.
wha? The trail will be not be moving any businesses unless you consider a transient sleeping by the tracks a business.
OTOH, Swedish may see fewer emergency room clients.
Wait, you are the guy that crashed your Bronco into their store, right?

Your sarcastic comment aside, what's your evidence to support that 'several long standing companies…. will be moving out' because of The BG Trial?
BikeSport and DutchBike — let the future unfurl …..thanks for being in Ballard!!
