With so many block parties in Ballard (take a look at the map), we jumped in the car and drove around to snap a few photos.
Here on 28th and 80th, firefighters from Ladder 8 joined the party.
Here’s a photo from 19th and 97th in “Upper North Beach.”
Kids had a blast in the bouncy house at 28th and 68th in Loyal Heights.
A good turnout on 52nd St. between 8th and 9th. (Thanks, April!)
And over on 9th and 67th, neighbors were entertained with Irish music.
“Our annual neighborhood photo” on the 7500 block of 26th.

Bouncy houses! Fire trucks! Musicians! I'm having block party envy. Ours was fun too although we didn't have a band like last year. We did have some adults show up in superhero capes because it was “night out against crime”. Still, pretty jealous over the bouncy house and fire truck.
Geeky Swedes!! Get it together!! 28th and 68th is not Loyal Heights, is it? It's Sunset Hill! Oui??
To the GS's credit, 28th Ave NW delineates the western boundary of Loyal Heights, from NW 65th to NW 85th St. I guess if the party was on the western side of the street then that would be considered Sunset Hill. If the party was in the middle of the street, then it's fair game. But perhaps there are residents on the eastern side of 28th who consider themselves part of Sunset Hill which is completely up to them. C'est la vie!
Wow – knitpicky, aren't we. Actually, you are wrong and Geeky Swedes are right. 28th is the boundary of the Loyal Heights neighborhood: http://clerk.ci.seattle.wa.us/~public/nmaps/htm…
At the block party on the 60th street.. (i'm a 59ther and they let me in thankfully) A few folks asked how I had heard about it and I said on myballard.com of course. They didnt know this blog existed. So at least now there are a few more folks in ballard that do.
Few folks didnt even know about tuesday in ballard either. Which was surprising to me with all the signage.
Thanks 60th for the good time.
Awesome pic with the firetruck! You guys look great!
A little Ballard irony. After the Night out for crime last night, we had two car prowls, I guess we should have hung out around the fire pit a little later then we did.
