How is Ballard doing? That’s what the Seattle Planning Commission wants to know. The question was the topic of a recent meeting that discussed the decade-old neighborhood plan and is also the topic of this online survey.
If this graph is any indication, Ballardites are more than willing to share their opinion. Ballard/Crown Hill is the orange bar at the bottom, leading the city of returned online surveys with 193. The deadline is tomorrow. You can find the link here. (Thanks Barbara!)

More whiners in Ballard per mile than the rest of Bizerkley North. Wonder if they'd be considered a “mob”? Still waiting, into the new millenium, for traffic signals along Market St. Still waiting for much needed “turn lanes”. Priorities? I got no stinkin priorities. The more a government does for you, the more it does to you. Simple.
A lot of people with nothing better to do with your time…kind of like this blog! THey must have all settled in ballard.
Hey. it looks like we have a lot of folks who are invested into improving our community. That warms my heart.
Never stop!
Time to pad the stats more :P
don't talk about what you want and you are lazy and apathetic.
talk about what you want and you are a complainer.
Squeaky wheels get the grease.
Lazy and pathetic get the least.
Or, at most, more of the same.
At least I'll know I'm not to blame.
Wow… that is amazing how few people have taken the survey!
Seems like it has more to do with whether the neighborhood has an active blog or not, rather than how much people like to whine. Thanks to the Swedes for posting about this survey – I would not have known about it if it weren't for this blog. I think that's what the high number of responses reflects – high readership of this blog and publicity that works! :) I'm proud of living in a community that has a fantastic local online resource like this blog and has residents who care about the community in which they live.
