Just after midnight on Sunday, a 4-car collision closed 65th near 15th.
“No one was seriously injured from what I could tell,” said My Ballard reader Louis, who sent us these photos. “Eventually they took one driver to the hospital, though he’d been standing and talking to police earlier.” You can see more of Louis’ photos of the accident here.

What a MESS! Amazing that nobody died!
Great job with the camera, Louise, and thanks for sharing!
Maybe I'm just dense, but where is 65th near Market?
The photos look like 65th across from the high school.
and only three of the four drivers were intoxicated!
Yeah, I caught that too. It's been fixed. ;-)
This kind of an accident on a street like this only gets created by someone doing something VERY stupid. Sheesh! A couple of expensive looking cars involved…
I live exactly where this accident happened. Three of the cars were parked on the south side of 65th and not moving at the time. The driver that caused the accident was heading East on 65th and obviously going way too fast. He was taken away in an ambulance, not sure about injuries.
So this was really a one car accident with three parked cars.
Hmmmm. Figures. Still, I'd be pissed if someone drove their BMW into my Mercedes (or vice versa).
Hey thanks for the clarification, CC. The pictures make more sense now! ;-)
Thanks for clarifying that. Good photo, but hard to tell what happened. I live near there too and don't remember hearing any more sirens than usual.
Man, that's the kind of stupid driving that makes me nervous biking around here.
I don't think that's a Mercedes if we're talking about the silver car. For a second I thought it might be an older Lexus, but most likely it's a current Hyundai or other cheapish car that tries to look like a knockoff of a more expensive car's shape.
The BMW that looks like it was the cause of this whole thing is an older one too.
I think that any of us would be pissed if those were our cars parked there. The real kicker is that most of the time when these things happen the driver is the kind of person who, though 100% at fault, won't have insurance or a pot to p— in so the people whose cars get totaled for being parked there are completely on their own.
I don't think any of the emergency vehicles used their sirens, just the lights. I was the only other vehicle on the road when it happened and the noise from the accident was plenty to wake up anybody nearby.
