Flags are at half staff today, like this one at Whittier Elementary, as America remembers September 11, 2001.
WildernessBarbie started a conversation in the forum earlier this week about how people are honoring those who died. “I encourage you to join me in showing your appreciation and paying homage to those who have fallen by baking something for your local fire station (police stations can’t accept food, but you could take them flowers!),” WildnernessBarbie writes.

Very cool idea. Can't think of anyone who deserves recognition more than those who devote their lives to protecting ours.
