The East Ballard Community Association has visions of a more beautiful 14th Ave NW and now it’s getting financial help from the city.
Dawn Hemminger of the EBCA learned over the weekend that they will receive $14,576 through the Department of Neighborhoods Small and Simple Matching Fund for the “Planting Partnerships on 14th Ave NW Project.” Earlier this year, SDOT removed 30 planters from downtown and agreed to donate them to the EBCA to help make 14th Ave more attractive. Now, with the monetary contribution by the city and the volunteers who have agreed to help install the planters, the EBCA is one step closer. Your next opportunity to help with the project is at the monthly meeting on Nov. 18th at 6:30 p.m. at 1111 NW 60th St.

Congrats EBCA!
Does this mean no more parking in the median? I personally won't miss it, but I imagine the folks who work around there will.
…like all the campers.
