Although the Holman Road QFC was closed Christmas Eve, witnesses say the doors were open and people were taking groceries. According to SeattleCrime.com, the folks who called 911 had gone into the store, grabbed what they needed then headed to the empty checkout stands. It was then that they realized that not a single employee was there. The blog cites a police report that says the 911 callers saw about ten more people heading into the grocery store while they waited for police, but saw just one person leaving with groceries. A QFC employee was called to close the store and told police that they could look at security video to find out how the doors were opened. (Thanks Silver for the link!)

this seems odd to me, because that store was closed for quite some time and around christmas eve it appears that all the groceries were gone and people have been doing construction inside ever since it's been closed. I dont know how on earth anyone could go in there thinking it was still a functional grocery store and “head to the checkout stands” and then realize it's not open anymore? this story seems weird

Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?
I think they are talking about the Holman Road QFC which was closed on Christmas Eve.
I wish I could say I was surprised, but that QFC is horrible. The employee's there are usually pretty rude. I stopped in that Christmas Eve. There was an employee waiting there by the door. I went to enter, and the door wouldn't open. It then dawned on me that the store was closing, but instead of the saying “Sorry Sir, we're closed for Christmas Eve” he actually just started laughing at me. That's just the most recent incident. So when I hear a place that pretty much allows their employee's to openly mock it's customers forgot to lock their doors. I'm really not all that surprised.
Yep. We meant the Holman Road QFC. Thanks!
I completely and utterly agree with this comment. I have NEVER had a positive experience there. It is the closest grocery store to our home, but I will drive the extra way to a different store, to avoid going there.
My husband is even more against there, and he is pretty forgiving.
The people who work there are rude, slow, and couldn't care one bit about anyone but themselves, if even that.
it sounds like they got some of the employees from the store on 24th before it closed. talk about grumps!
