Kids and kids at heart (yep, adults can bounce) are invited to Bounce Fest at the Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St). Numerous bouncy houses, jump ropes and more will be set up this coming Thursday, Jan. 14th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Cost is $2 per person.

Be nice if they did these events at a time when working parents could take part. Why do so many of the community center programs cater to the stay at home parent crowd?
4pm – 6pm is not that bad for working parents, I get home at 4:30. If it were any later it would be getting close to bed time for some of the younger kids.
i wish it was later as well, but they probably figure they don't want a bunch of just-fed kids bouncing around.
4-7 would be perfect! Then working parents could partake as well. I totally agree with probably wanting to avoid just-fed kids though!
I was thinking more along the lines of doing it on a weekend when most people don't work.
As for getting home at 4:30, you're in the minority among the working parents I know.
Oh I see what you mean, weekends would be nice. I'm more frustrated by everything that seems to happen at 10am on a weekday, that's really impossible for working parents.
I guess I'm pretty lucky to be able to work earlier hours, we generally work on our own schedule and it's a ghost town after 5pm!
