Little league registration is now open for kids who live between NW 85th St and NW 145th St, between Puget Sound and I-5. Kids who are at least 6 years old as of April 30th, 2010 are eligible to sign up. The Northwest Seattle Little League is offering online registration so you don’t even need to leave the house. Families can also register in person on February 6th from 9 a.m. and noon at the Whitman Middle School cafeteria (9201 15th Ave NW). Tryouts will be held March 6th & 7th with practices starting March 8th. For more information on the league, you can email NWLL@hotmail.com.
On the Little League front, Ballard Little League (previous story here) in-person sign-ups are Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sunset Hill Community Club (3003 NW 66th St).
North Seattle Baseball Association is still open to registration- PONY baseball- a competitive alternate to Little League, played with Major League rules. Real baseball with stealing, bunting etc.! Games are played in NE Seattle. http://www.nsbabaseball.org
