The Scandinavian Language Institute‘s spring session gets under way at the end of the month. With 30 years under their belt, they offer Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic at several levels which include beginning, know-a-little, intermediate and advanced. Most classes meet at the Nordic Heritage Museum (3014 NW 67th St) in the evenings, although there are some Norwegian classes that meet during the day. Spring quarter runs for nine weeks starting on March 29th. Tuition ranges from $70 plus text fees to $110 plus text fees. Partial scholarships are available. Registration takes place in class.
The SLI sponsors a summer tour to Norway which is scheduled for late June. More information on the tour here.
Updated: From Ed Egerdahl in comments: “One amendment – there are no Danish language classes scheduled for this spring. Our teacher, Melissa is defending her PhD dissertation in Danish at the UW and her plate is WAY full. We are collecting names for an “interest list”. Look for Danish classes again in the fall.”
Quick correction, should be Íslenska.
Thanks! The SLI has it both ways on their website. ~Kate
