The teenage girl involved in last weekend’s fatal car wreck is improving. A media relations representative with Harborview Medical Center tells us this morning that her condition has been upgraded from “critical” to “serious.” The teenager was sitting in the back seat behind the driver when the car slammed into the Taco Time sign on Market St.
SanJuanJournal.com is reporting that the teenager is an International student at Spring Street International School in Friday Harbor. Admissions Director Jerry Riley tells the Journal that the second-year-student sustained a head injury and underwent surgery to relieve pressure on her brain. You can read more about the student in the entire article from the San Juan Journal. (Thank you MsBallard30 for posting the link in the forum.)
Thank goodness. I heard she was only 15? Too many lives have been lost already, I hope she pulls through OK.
Thank you for the update. I'm glad her condition is improving. Our thoughts are with her and her family!
You must admit it's a bit sketchy for a 15 year old girl to be hanging out with 20 year old boys an hour from her home in the middle of the night.
Is her family in this country? Who was responsible for her?
I am glad to hear her condition is improving.
Good to hear she is improving!
I hope she pulls through
very good news.
Only if you were flying could you get from Friday Harbor to Ballard in an hour. It takes almost two hours to get to the ferry terminal alone, plus there is the ferry ride after that.
