Although the weather wasn’t what many would consider to be warm, some brave souls took to the water over the weekend.
Saturday was the annual Sloop Tavern Yacht Club’s Blakely Rock Benefit Race, which benefits the Ballard Food Bank. Paul with the blog “Everyone’s Travel Club” snapped this photo and writes, “It was awesome – a great wind, lots of boats, freezing cold.”
On Sunday, Mondoman caught this photo of a few kite boarders taking advantage of the breezy weather on Sunday afternoon.

We were there watching from the beach. Great day for sight seeing. There was a fellow who set up a tight rope also.
