Every three years the Ballard Historical Society hosts a tour of classic homes around the area. Seven homes built betweeen 1909 and 1929 are on this year’s Ballard Classic Homes Tour. None of the homes have been featured before. “Check out the home of a doctor who housed tuberculosis patients — right inside his home! And tour the home of a family that served residents for decades at its Ballard meat markets,” the society’s website states.
The event is Sunday, June 6th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are now on sale for $20. They can be purchased at Secret Garden Bookshop (2214 NW Market St), REStore (1440 N.W. 52nd St), Johnson & Johnson Antiques (6820 Greenwood Ave N) and the Sunset Hill Green Market (6405 32nd Ave. NW). Exchange your ticket for a tour brochure on the day of the tour beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Sunset Hill Green Market. You can also buy a ticket day-of at Sunset Hill Green Market. This is the largest fundraiser for the Ballard Historical Society.
