The votes have been tallied and the winning film for the Whittier Heights Neighborhood Movie Night is the Disney movie Up! The selection seems appropriate because many have speculated that the movie was inspired by Edith Macefield’s story. Disney event used her house for a PR stunt last year.
The viewing is this Friday, August 13th and will start around sundown (8:27 p.m.) at Kirke Park (7028 9th Ave NW). Before the movie, the design team for the park will have posters and informally talk about the park design.
Brad Wakeman with the Whittier Heights Community Council says that they will likely provide popcorn, soda and water, but feel free to bring snacks to share. A potluck table will be set up.
I still think they should have chosen the first Tron.
um, this movie started production at least 2 years before edith macefield made national news…..
Up is playing? I'm down.
