Ballard is about to get a new wine shop and wine tasting room. Vintner’s Annex is preparing to open at 5818 24th Ave NW.
MyBallard reader Dave emailed us this photo and writes, “Just popped my head in the door, and it appears ‘Vintner’s Annex’ is winding-up construction to open a new wine tasting room and wine shop for local, independent wineries. I spoke to the owner and apparently they will be open in the coming week.”
Dave tells us the sign on the door says it will be a tasting room for five local wineries. “Another reason Ballard rules,” he writes. According to the liquor license approvals, it looks like the five wineries are Alta Cellars, Flying Dreams Winery, Cuillin Hills Winery, Barrage Cellars and Des Voigne Cellars.
Wine tasting room?!
Without hauling ourselves to Walla Walla or Woodinville?
Welcome to Wallard!
Apparently the photo shows what it'll feel like after a few hours of 'tasting'.
These are all Woodinville based wineries … nice to see a group effort like this in Ballard, for those who can't get out there so easily.
Ah crap. This will make me an alcoholic. 2 blocks away???? Ugh
Yo, dawg, I heard you like wine and Ballard, so I put wine in your Ballard so you can wine while you're in Ballard.
To quote Mr Burns: “excellent…”
