Students in the West Woodland Elementary attendance area will feed into a newly renovated middle school in Wallingford.
Hamilton International Middle School (4400 Interlake Avenue N) will open its doors next week after a two-year, $73 million renovation. On Thursday, students, families, school staff, community members and elected officials attended the ribbon-cutting of the building. Our sister site, MyWallingford.com, has the coverage.

Totally jealous!
why do schools like to throw ‘international’ into their name?
it’s not like an airport or something.
anyway, I’m sure Aaron Burr is not pleased
Hamilton became “international” like 8 or so years back when they opted into extra language programs and the such. They get some additional funding from the district to fund some of the extra programs and it’s supposed to help the desirability of the school (and at the time it could use it).
thanks kat.
so is it the same with john stanford international school–the inclusion of extra foreign language programs?
Yes, it is. They have immersion programs in Spanish and Japanese.
Wow, wish we had a decent middle school in Ballard instead of Whitman….
