‘Halloween on Holman’ trick-or-treating event

For the first time, merchants on Holman Road will be holding a trick-or-treat event. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Halloween, businesses in the Carkeek Plaza (9999 Holman Road NW, where QFC is) and Holman Road Square (across the street from QFC) will be handing out treats to kids dressed up for the holiday. Costumed adults will help people cross Holman Road. “Many stores will be running specials or sales. We will have a photographer, face and nail painting by Karin’s Beauty Supplies, complimentary chair massage by Elements Therapeutic Massage, and a grand prize drawing at 3:45 for gift cards donated by many of the merchants,” Glenda Poletti, the owner of Elements Therapeutic Massage, emailed us. She says the businesses plan to hold this event on Halloween each year.
