Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 opened late last night and many stood in line to see it.
The 11:59 p.m. showing at the Majestic Bay Theater was sold out. Jared Rogers, who sent us this photo, says the line was around the corner. “Some waited nearly seven hours to secure their seats,” he tells us. “But despite the dropping temperature and light rain these Ballard Muggles got a show that inspired an applause at the end, and maybe even a second Halloween.”

Nerds
I got in for free with my invisibility cloak.
Better nerds going to see HP in Ballard, than thugs hanging out at 2nd and Pine in the evenings.
BTW, in case you haven’t noticed, nerds run the world.
Hey Norwegian – does the word curmudgeon sound familiar? They’re excited goofy kids. Give them break.

I love that these are the only two options available.
Adorable!
Does anyone know if Rowling has a decent biography out about her? Seems like she’s led an amazing life!
7 hours???? Wow. That seems like a waste of time. I go to the occasional midnight release, but if I have to wait that long, hell no.

Kids having fun good for them!
I was working near the Bay on opening day of the first movie and remember glancing out the window and seeing groups of people walking by in cloaks, Griffndor scarves etc and thinking “What the H ” just like Vernon Dursely did in the beginning of the first book.
