Updated: The dog has been reunited with its owner.
Earlier: Lisa sent us this picture and note about a Border Collie she found around 7:30 on Wednesday evening.
“We found a black and white border collie on the corner of 30th and 67th, with no owner in sight. It has a red collar but no tags,” Lisa writes. “We are planning on taking it to the Humane Society on 15th later this evening, or in the morning if their drop-off is closed for the night. This dog is very sweet and friendly, and is trained (sits on command).”
Umm this dog looks familiar. Not sure, but it looks a lot like the dog a guy on 68th street has – he lives in a dark yellow house on the south side of street between 28 and 30th (no 29th street)
I think it is next to a seahawk color blue house. Anyway I do not know the address. I do know that they are inseparable. But perhaps the thunder scared him. The dog looks the right age and everything – I vaguely remember seeing a red collar over the years.
Hope that helps
Can you see this – it says no comment still
Thanks for the tip, Ballardite. We’ll swing by tomorrow morning and check it out.
I agree with Ballardite- if she responds to “Shadow” she belongs to the guy on 68th. A white panel van is usually parked in front or in the driveway.
Um, I feel like I should give you a heads up that in every encounter I’ve ever had with the possible dog owner in question, over the course of several years, he’s 3 sheets to the wind. Sometimes Shadow’s leash is actually tied around his midsection as she leads him towards home :(
I took the dog for a walk around the block, and ran into the owner right around the house you mentions. Thanks again for the tip. It’s nice to know we have such great neighbors!
Thank you for such good care for this sweet doggie!
Ive seen her tied up outside the Sloop quite often, the guy must get his sheets filled there and she pulls him home. Glad she got home ok!
