The new Kirke Park at 7028 9th Ave NW will have the traditional park amenities like a play area for kids and a grassy area for lounging. It will also have a P-Patch for community gardeners.
A look at the future P-Patch site at Kirke Park
The city will be holding two meetings to talk about how the P-Patch works, what the design looks like, what comes next and how plot assignments are made. Meet with Julie Bryan, the city’s Garden Coordinator tonight at 6:30 p.m. or on Saturday, June 18th at 11 a.m. Both meetings will be held at the north end of the park in the designated P-Patch area.
P patch? It’s a neighborhood of single family homes with gardens. Why are some folks allowed to privatize the park for their own gain?
They do it just to annoy you.
Teabaggers!
Not “P-Patch”. It’s going to be a Pee Patch. And Poo Patch. You know, for the bums to do their thing in.
Not enough supplies for bums in Whittier Heights unless Take 5 starts selling smokes and malt liquor.
There’s a long wait list for P-Patches in Ballard. They’re open to the public – you’re free to wander through and enjoy the gardens. P-Patches also donate a lot of fresh produce to food banks.
