Stop by Whittier Elementary today during two one-hour open houses to see the final designs for the new reader board.
Organizer Jason Sharpley writes:
The Whittier PTA is excited to share the final Reader Board design developed with input from the May public workshop as well as school staff and students. We will have information on the construction schedule and project status (we anticipate this project will be funded in part by a Neighborhood Matching Fund award of the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods), and the steering committee will be on hand to answer your questions about the project.
Come learn how you can get messages displayed on the proposed Reader Board, and how you can make the project a success. The Reader Board Steering Committee will be collecting volunteer contact information for the Whittier Elementary Work Party (August 20). The work party will clean, weed, and mulch the school grounds prior to the commencement of the 2011-12 school year.
The open houses are from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Whittier Elementary (1320 NW 75th St). If you cannot make it, but would like additional information, please email Jason Sharpley at needlessharpley@yahoo.com
too bad they couldn’t post the design here on the blog, instead of a picture of where it will go (or both!)
I like the one at Adams Elementary an awful lot. Will this one also be tile mosaic?
