If you’re a comic book fanatic, or just enjoy flipping through some graphic novels from time to time, be sure to visit Arcane Comics in Ballard on Saturday for Free Comic Book Day. The event is celebrated the first Saturday in May every year, in which participating shops give away comic books.

Arcane Comics (5809 15th Ave NW) will be giving out free comic books from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will have a special guests Moritat (artist on The Spirit and All-Star Western) and Matt Southworth (artist on Stuptown) in the store. The Ballard-based Parenting Geekly blog will also be at the store, celebrating their 2nd anniversary with balloons and activities for kids and birthday cake, according to Sharon Feliciano with the blog.
