Friday is a big day in Ballard, and in addition to KEXP’s Hood to Hood celebration, the Bike to Work Day block party is in Ballard from 4 to 7 p.m. next to Bergen Place Park on 22nd Ave NW.

Bike to Work Day is sponsored by F5 and is a Cascade Bicycle Club event. The day starts with a rally downtown from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Seattle City Hall (600 4th Avenue). There will be plenty of giveaways and free samples from biking companies, and live music from KEXP’s live broadcast next door at Bergen Place Park.
