The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) has just released new bicycle maps for the city. The new map includes the most recent bike projects and information about how to bike safely, what the rules of the road are, and descriptions with graphics of bike signs and permanent markings used in Seattle, according to SDOT. They are also releasing a pocket sized map, which focuses on giving you important info, “needed to move around the city by bike.” To plan your trips now, visit here. Free copies of the maps are available through the Bike Alliance of Washington, (206) 224-9252, or by filling out an online form.
SDOT has also just released a video depicting how bikers should use the green bike lanes and boxes that have been popping up around Seattle. To view the video, click here.
