A 33-year-old woman has been arrested for domestic violence assault and a man in his 40s was hospitalized after a family disturbance just before midnight last night. According to the SPD Blotter, the incident was in the 300 block of NW 90th St. The original call, which was determined to be false, reported shots fired inside a house by a male family member with a gun. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered only a woman who was still inside the home. Patrol officers requested the help of the Anti-Crime Team (ACT) officers and negotiators, who were unable to get the woman to come outside. So, the ACT officers then entered the residence and arrested her without incident.
Police say the victim is a man in his 40s, and the suspect’s brother. He was punched, bit and cut on the face by the suspect, and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for his non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the investigation found no gunfire or guns in the home, but that alcohol did play a role in the incident.
