From the event info:
Each September the Seattle Firefighters Pipes and Drum Band goes to Colorado Springs, CO for the annual IAFF Fallen Firefigher Memorial. This is an event to honor and recognize those firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community. This fundraiser allows the band to pay for airfare and lodging for those members who go. This year the Seattle Fire Department will be putting on the wall three members who passed away due to cancer they contracted while on the job.
Seattle’s Bravest Charity was created after the 1995 deaths of four Seattle firefighters at the Pang Warehouse Arson Fire. Originally known as the “Seattle Firefighter’s Benevolent Association,” it has since grown into an organization with a broad scope that provides support to our community and various entities within the Seattle Fire Department. For more information about Seattle’s Bravest Charity, please visit www.seattlesbravestcharity.com.
The bar will roast several pigs onsite and serve side dishes of macaroni salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. Tickets for the event are $20 in advance, and $25 on the day of the event. The ticket will include entry, food and entertainment. All draft microbrews will be sold at $4 per pint. The event is for ages 21 and up.
