The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is still in the planning stages of the Ballard Greenways project. After a well-attended open house hosted by SDOT in July, a number of residents still had concerns over the plans for the project. In response, Douglas Cox from SDOT says they plan to, “seek additional input from impacted residents and local community groups over the next several months and will reevaluate the proposed plan.”

Cox says SDOT will host another open house in early 2013 to provide an update and additional information about the greenways. They will announce the meeting two weeks in advance, Cox tells us.
“We are also preparing a written response to the questions and concerns we received, which will be available on the project website later this month,” he writes. SDOT is still accepting comments or questions; contact them at walkandbike@seattle.gov or by calling 206-684-7583.
