BHS athletics and Homecoming this week

It’s Homecoming this week at Ballard High School, which means you may see some costumed high school students walking around the neighborhood. They’ve chosen television channel themes for each day, including Nickelodeon, Animal Planet, and History Channel days.

Here is the athletic schedule for the week:

Monday, September 24:

• Soccer: Girls C Team vs Mercer Island, 3:30 p.m. at Loyal Heights Playfield Playground
• Volleyball: JV Team, C Team (5:30 p.m.), and Varsity (7 p.m.) vs. Skyline at Skyline High School

Tuesday, September 25:

• Golf: Varsity Boys Conf. Match vs. Garfield, 3 p.m., Ballard High School
• Tennis: Boys Varsity and JV vs. Redmond, 3:45 p.m., at Lower Woodland Tennis Courts
• Soccer: Girls JV Conf. (5:30 p.m.) and Varsity Game (7:30 p.m.) vs. Skyline at Skyline High School

Wednesday, September 26:

• Tennis: Boys JV vs. Newport at Newport High School (3:45 p.m.) and Varsity Game vs. Newport at Lower Woodland Tennis Courts (3:45 p.m.)
• Volleyball: C Team, JV (5:30 p.m.) and Varsity (7 p.m.) vs. Issaquah at Ballard High School

Thursday, September 27:

• Soccer: Girls JV (5:30 p.m.) and Varsity (7:30 p.m.) vs. Issaquah at Memorial Stadium

Friday, September 28:

• Swim & Dive: Girls JV and Varsity vs. Skyline, 3:30 p.m., Ballard Pool
• Football: Varsity vs. Newport, 7:45 p.m., Memorial Stadium

Saturday, September 29:

• Football C Team vs. Nathan Hale, 10 a.m., Ballard High School Field
