Update & Correction: Kyle Moore from the Seattle Fire Department says it was a small electrical fire coming from the instrument panel on a large sailboat, and the occupant of the boat extinguished the fire before crews arrived. Moore says crews inspected the vessel with a thermal imaging camera and determined the fire was completely out.
Original post: A small boat fire at Shilshole Marina this morning was quickly extinguished by Seattle Fire crews. At about 8:30 a.m., crews responded to calls of a fire on a boat in slip 360, and according to our tipster Silver, there were no injuries. No word yet on how the fire was started. We’ll update with any new information.
