The Seattle Fire Department was called out to the Olympic Athletic Club last night after smoke was seen coming from a second floor vent around 4 a.m. Mark Durall, general manager of the club, says it turned out to be a false alarm, and that after a thorough search of the facility, firefighters found nothing. A neighbor, Jared Wilmoth, called 911 saying he saw thick smoke coming from the vents of the men’s locker room on the second floor. Durall says they don’t know what caused the smoke, but that there’s no damage and they’re open as usual today.
