The monthly Ballard Greenways meeting is on tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Ballard Coffee Works (2060 NW Market St). The meeting will be held in the main part of the coffee shop and all are welcome.
Ballard Greenways is part of Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, an organization pushing for the creation of “greenways” in our community. These are safe, slow, low-traffic streets connecting important community destinations such as schools, parks and businesses for pedestrians and cyclists.
Ballard Greenways vision is for locals to be able to safely travel on foot or by bike locally and between neighborhoods.
Tonight the progress of the NW 58th St Greenway project will be discussed. This project has been funded by the Neighborhood Projects Fund overseen by the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The meeting will also cover a new project to determine how well Greenways are working and discuss upcoming events.
