The Seattle event of the second annual National Nanny Training Day will be held this Saturday, April 20 at Sunset Hill Community Center (3003 NW 66th St) from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. The event is being hosted by Northwest Nanny Association and sponsored by Ballard’s Annie’s Nannies. “Sponsoring this event in Seattle is one of the ways we make sure the nannies we represent are on top of changing safety standards, health practices and childrearing techniques,” says Teah Achman, COO of Annie’s Nannies.
The training day will cover topics that highlight the range of duties that nannies must be prepared for. The day will include sessions on child safety, health, sleeping, car-seat safety, advice on working with children and more.
During 2012 National Nanny Training Day over 1,300 nannies participated nationwide and 50 nannies attended the event here in Seattle. “Along with what they learn from the panelists, the nannies learn a lot from each other,” says Achman.
The cost for participation, including lunch, is $30.
