A Ballard resident is guiding walking tours through Old Ballard every Sunday this summer. Roxanne Glick started the walking tour, which makes its way through the old parts of Ballard, stopping at the farmers market and other cultural landmarks in the neighborhood.
Glick says tour participants will, “gain insight into the history, culture, and attractions to have a more personally fulfilling at eventful Ballard experience. We sample our way through the farmers market, compare the Historic District to black and white photographs, and visit the home of a resident ghost on this community-oriented tour.”
The walking tour begins at Bergen Place (5420 22nd Ave NW) at 2:30 p.m. every Sunday. Glick says payment is by donation, and no reservations are necessary. The tour is part of the Seattle Free Walking Tours. Learn more on their Facebook page.
