The annual lutefisk eating contest brought ten brave souls on stage to stomach the smelly white fish. Dave Johnson, who grew up in Ballard, was the lucky winner this year, saying this was his tenth win. He says he loves lutefisk, and eats it often at home.

“I think it’s pretty good!” Johnson admitted after his triumphant first place finish and $200 prize money in his pocket.
