You may have seen some action at Skillet Diner over the last few days; the new diner “softly” opened for business last week, but their grand opening is today (Monday, Aug. 12). The new restaurant is located just behind the Ballard Library in the Greenfire Campus (2034 NW 56th Street).
The diner holds many of the same characteristics of its Capitol Hill location, but is larger and boasts a 40-foot curved bar and whole host of specialty cocktails. They even have a couple menu items specific to Ballard, such as ebelskivers, which are Danish spherical pancakes, served with bacon jam.
Skillet will be open 7 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, with food served until 11 p.m.
