The Restyle for Ryther Thrift Shop (5435 Ballard Ave), formerly known as the R-Shoppe, is reopening this Friday, Sept. 13 at 2:30 p.m. The reopening will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting with Mike Stewart, Executive Director of the Ballard Chamber of Commerce, and Sharon Setzler, chair of the Ryther League. Ryther is a behavioral health services program based in Seattle for children and their families.
The store will have new stocks of used clothing for men and women, home furnishings, books and jewelry. The Ryther League has been operating the volunteer-run thrift store in Ballard since 1971, and Setzler says the ribbon cutting signals, “a new era,” for the league, which is now in its 77th year. All proceeds from the store benefit the Ryther organization.
