Populuxe Brewing (826 NW 49th Street) is hosting a benefit show tomorrow (Sat., Sept. 14) to raise money for brain cancer research. The event is at 4 p.m. at the brewery, and will feature several musical performances.
The benefit was inspired by Catherine Halloran’s experience with a brain tumor. She underwent a partial tumor resection in early March of this year, but surgeons had to leave one-third of it as it is inoperable. Her family has banded together to build awareness for brain cancer research, and organized this benefit, the proceeds from which will go to support the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk.
The line-up is the following:
- 4:45 – Helen Halloran & Guests
- 5:15 – Rich Evans
- 5:45 – Rod Moody
- 6:15 – That Jerk Gabe & Jenny Hill
- 6:45 – Sue Quigley
- 7:15 – Carl Funk
- 8:00 – Gerald Collier
The benefit starts at 4 p.m., and there is a $5 suggested donation at the door.
